Hi! I’m Jeff Lindbom.
-
My clients feel a deep connection to nature and adventure but have been sidelined by physical challenges. They don’t want generic programs—they want a real path forward that leads back to the wilderness.
-
I combine health and movement coaching with a specific focus on hiking and backpacking. Think of me as your guide on this journey back to strength and confidence. Just like preparing for a big hike, we start by taking stock of where you are, planning a sensible route, and packing only what’s needed. The goal isn’t to push through obstacles blindly—it’s to build the skills, strength, and resilience to move forward with confidence.
Through movement coaching and mindset training, we focus on skill-building—mobility, stability, strength, and endurance—layering in strategies that help you navigate setbacks and keep progressing. This process isn’t about rushing to the summit; it’s about finding the right path for you step by step.
With the right approach, progress starts to feel natural—momentum builds, confidence grows, and what once felt uncertain becomes second nature.
-
I’m not just a coach. I’ve lived this journey. I know what it’s like to feel uncertain, be afraid of re-injury, and wonder if you’ll ever get back to the activities that make you feel like yourself. I also know what it takes to rebuild—not just physically, but mentally. I have also done my homework and gained certifications to ensure my coaching is aligned with the highest industry standards.

“I ran for years in pain suffering from shin splints and hurting knees. I tried getting help from numerous physical therapists, chiropractors, and home programs. Most of which told me to “stop running” when I continued to have pain. After just a month working with Jeff, the pain began to ease and my overall strength increased. The program he laid out for me was tailored to my abilities, and allowed me to focus on weak points. It also took a holistic approach that helped me gain more mobility and strength across my body that allowed me to improve in other activities like surfing, biking, and walking. I now run pain free and continue to use his methods for mobility and self maintenance on a daily basis.”

“I’ve always considered myself a runner. In my teens and early twenties I ran several times per week, regularly accumulating 20 to 30 miles. During and after almost every run my feet would hurt. Looking for answers, I sought out the advice from many medical professionals including doctors, physical therapists, and specialists, and each time was given the same diagnosis: flat feet. I spent hundreds of dollars on custom orthotics, high-stability running shoes, and ankle braces. Once I started working a desk job in my mid-twenties, things started to get worse… much worse.
My running mileage per week plummeted and I was only getting out for a run once or twice a week. Surprisingly, as I ran less, my feet actually started to hurt more. One day, I complained to Jeff, about all my ailments and the pain I felt during my runs, knowing that he would empathize with me because he was working through some physical problems of his own. Jeff explained the concept of natural running to me, described what flat or “minimalist” shoes are, and gave me a variety of different mobility and movement exercises to maintain blood flow and make my body more nimble.
Slowly but surely, with Jeff’s coaching on movement, mobility, and nutrition, I transformed my body to operate the way it was designed by nature. With minimalist running shoes, active glutes and core muscles, and a fully rotating upper body with arms pumping, I’m able to cruise on runs of 20 miles with 4000’ of elevation gain in the mountains of Montana. In depth explanations and coaching advice, backed by science and experience - that’s what you’ll get from Jeff’s mobility and movement coaching.”

Who This Is Not For
While I'd love to support everyone in getting back outdoors, this coaching isn't the right fit for everyone. Here's who it might not be for:
You're looking for a quick fix. My coaching will not be a good match if you expect overnight results or a one-size-fits-all plan. I focus on sustainable progress and rebuilding confidence over time.
You want someone to do the work for you. I'm here to guide, support, and challenge you—but I can’t carry your pack for you (literally or metaphorically). This is a collaborative process.
You're only looking for rehab or medical treatment. I'm not a doctor or physical therapist; this isn't about "fixing" injuries. It's about rebuilding your strength, movement, and mindset from where you are now.
You're not ready to explore your mindset. Physical recovery is only part of the process. The work will be incomplete if you're not open to reflecting on habits, beliefs, and mental roadblocks.
FAQs
What exactly do you help people with?
I help adventure seekers and nature lovers who’ve had physical setbacks—like chronic pain, injury, or illness—regain the strength and confidence to hike, backpack, and move through the wilderness again. We use movement and mindset to build resilience and get you back to the places that matter to you.
Is this physical therapy?
No. I’m not a physical therapist and this isn’t medical treatment. I don’t diagnose or treat injuries. My role is to help you rebuild capacity, confidence, and durability through coaching, education, and a practical movement plan that works with your current condition. I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine - Certified Personal Trainer and a “The Ready State” certified movement and mobility coach. I also have years of experience helping myself and others re-build after physical setbacks. This is designed to bridge the gap between acute care and physical therapy and getting you back to the places you love.
What if I’m still dealing with pain?
That’s common—and yes, I can usually work with that. This program is built for people who haven’t fully healed or are still figuring things out. You don’t need to be “fixed” to start moving forward. I will meet you where you are. During our first call, we will dive into the details of your personal situation and figure out if is something that I can help with and is within my scope of practice.
Is this virtual or in-person?
All coaching is done virtually, so you can join from anywhere. You’ll need some space to move, and a few basic tools (I’ll guide you on what to get, if needed).
I’ve tried other programs that didn’t work. What makes this different?
This is not a cookie-cutter program. Everything is personalized—your movement plan, your mindset work, your pace. It is not a single tool or five easy steps. It is a systems based approach to health to meet you where you are and start making small changes that slowly build-up and result in momentum in your journey back to hiking and backpacking.
What does coaching actually look like?
We start with a 90-minute kickoff session to assess where you are and where you want to go. From there, we will set up a session frequency and time length that fits for your time, schedule, needs, and budget. You get a personalized plan, support between sessions, and tools to help you build trust in your body again.
Do I need to be an athlete to do this?
No. You just need to care about getting back to the outdoors. Whether you want to do multi-day backpacking trips or just hike a local trail without pain, this work is for you.
What if I’m not in great shape right now?
Most of the people I work with are starting from a place of feeling limited. We’ll build from there—gradually and sustainably.
How do I get started?
Start by reaching out. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll set up a call to talk through your goals and see if the program makes sense for you. No pressure, no hard sell.
